The Northeast blizzard that was expected to hit between New York City and New England has been downgraded, but eight states are still under emergency declarations.

New England is currently taking the brunt of the storm with white out conditions, ferocious waves and winds, and empty streets except for snowplows and emergency personnel.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has lifted travel bans in New York City and New Jersey. Buses and the subway system will also resume operation later this morning.

The Northeast storm has also delayed/cancelled over 7,700 flights. You are advised to contact the airport and/or airline if you have plans to travel (especially to the northeast) within the next few days.
