Lyft was the car sharing service that was in Buffalo in 2014 before every cab driver got ticked off that they were stealing business and they got the boot from Western New York due to crazy laws. Lets be honest. People in their late teens through late 20s love the car sharing service and we don't care about these dumb laws--just bring it back.

Uber, like Lyft is the car sharing service that has exploded everywhere else in the country and is still on the rise.

Let's face it. Buffalo needs Uber just as much as Uber needs Buffalo. Let's go through some (obvious) reasons as to why we can't wait until it gets here.

    It's Convenient As It Comes

You download the Uber app, you see which drivers are around you, you ask them to pick you up and wal-ah you have you're ride. You can even check personal profiles of drivers to make sure you're not getting in with a creep. In just minutes you can have your driver.

    No Credit Card Needed

You're drunk. You're on Allen. You've spent every last dollar on Fireball shots and now you need to get home. Since your credit card is already secured by the app. You just have Uber pick you up, drop you off at home and you're done. Tip on the app. No cash needed.

    Quicker

Let's face it--it's more fun taking Uber. You don't need to call, talk to an operator who is going to lie to you and say your driver is going to be there in 15 and really take 45 minutes then try and take the longest possible way home to suck every penny out of you in the cab.

You Know When Your Driver Is Arriving

Again, the app is just genius. When you're sitting in the bar or your friends house you know from the app when the driver is there or how close they actually are. You don't have to be unsure if you can have another drink or not or have time to run to the bathroom.

    Sometimes Cabs Are Creepy

You know it. I know it. They smell, the driver is sometimes a weirdo and all you want to do is just get home. Uber is normal people who drive normal people home. End of story.
