5 Historic Things That Happened On April 15

I discovered today what a historic day April 15 is.  

Tax Day -- The IRS tax filing deadline in 2013.  It's also become a big freebie day.

Abraham Lincoln Died -- Though he was assassinated on April 14, he died early on April 15.

Titanic Sinks -- The RMS Titanic struck an iceberg just before midnight on April 14. The ship that was thought to be unsinkable sank after 2 1/2 hours.

Jackie Robinson Breaks Into Major League Baseball --  Jackie Robinson becomes the first African-American player in Major League Baseball when he steps onto Ebbets Field in Brooklyn to compete for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

The First McDonald's Store Opens -- In San Bernardino, California
