A Few Of My Favorite Things This Christmas
I make it a habit of being grateful for just about everything, and they’re usually “the little things” (follow me on Twitter @LauraDaniels961 and you’ll see I use that hashtag a lot #thelittlethings). Things like “fresh sheet day” and hitting a bunch of green traffic lights in a row….those things tickle me. (Yes, I know, simple things for simple minds….hehehe)
This year I was grateful for so much — my new job, my new home, my new friends and coworkers, just to name a few. I got to spend lots of time with my 89 year old grandma, my dad and brother, aunt and uncle (due to timing, Christmas with my mom will come in a week or so). A lot to be grateful for this year.
That being said, there were a few material things I would file under “favorites”. First, from my brother, mini handmade replicas of Paul McCartney’s guitar, bass, and the signed 6 string from the Beatles.
And this one lands at #1 of my favorite gifts this year, simply because it combines two of my favorite things in one! First, my dog (16 month old yellow lab, DJ), and second, some delicious wine! This came from my Aunt Deb and Uncle Tim, who, even though we only see each other a handful of times a year, just seem to know me best!
Ahhh, like mother like daughter…. 😉
Totally materially-speaking, what was YOUR favorite gift this year?
