You here it all to often. Two people became involved in an altercation because of 'Road Rage". As Americans become more and more stressed the threat of road rage continues to rise. I have read many stores regarding road rage over the years.  One story in particular that stands out occurred in Sacramento.  A man cut another man off.  Driver A was so infuriated that he followed driver B. Finally Driver B pulled over and Driver A shot and killed him in front of his kid. Driver A eventually shot and killed himself. I know this story is an extreme instance of road rage but it is not the first nor will it be the last.

My Road Rage Experience

Yesterday I encountered an angry driver.  I signaled and made a safe lane change in front of her . We were at least 4 car distances apart. She honked her horn, I ignored her.  Another vehicle signaled and drove in front of her as well, She honked her horn at him. Little did I know she would honk at me and the other driver from our thruway exit to McKinley Mall. As I continued to drive she honked. I finally reached my brink and honked at her.

I was on my way to the Erie County Fair thinking about Cotton Candy and Italian Sausages.  She appeared to be on her way to the fair also or either she had nothing better to do with her time than to follow me and honk her horn. The mean lady driver as I will call her eventually turned right. I don't even know her and I was happy to see her leave.

I personally don't condone road rage. I do not honk my horn unless I feel that I am being threatened or in danger of an accident.  I don't know the other person in the vehicle and they don't know me. You have no idea of that persons frame  of mind.  Honking your horn, screaming, braking and acting as if your  going to run them off the road is a dangerous game that should never be played. You may be the aggressor at the moment but things can quickly change.  Your actions could result in an accident or even worse death.  As I write this an incident is occurring.  Here is a true story of a man who lost his life because of road rage this week.

Here's a list of the Top 3 cities in the US  according to CNBC who are known for Road rage. Let's keep Buffalo off of this list.

2. Dallas

3.  Detroit
