On Wednesday, Kobe Bryant released an open letter to his 17-year-old self.  He warned about many things...mainly, being careful about what he gave away to friends and family.

Retired at age 37, he said (to his younger self) that he should INVEST in the future of those he loved, but not to GIVE it away, because,

You were slowly eating away at their own dreams and ambitions . . . you were adding material things to their lives, but subtracting the most precious gifts of all: independence and growth.

Today we asked you what advice would you give to YOUR 17 year old self, in 4 words or less.

Rob Banks:  Be a Yes Person.
Tony P: Buy Google Stock Now.
Laura Daniels: You Are Not Fat.

ThinkSTock / Creatista

One common theme among the women who called:  LOVE YOURSELF MORE.

From our text line:

Renee / Buffalo: BE.YOURSELF.ALWAYS
Renee / Cheektowaga: My four words would be "stay away from TV"
Mary / Lancaster: Don't rush love.
Kari / Buffalo: Listen to your heart
Dan / Hamburg: DO NOT COSIGN EVER

So, what would YOUR advice be to your 17-year-old self?
