An Expensive — But Worth It — Birthday Weekend [PICTURES]
My daughter turned eight yesterday. How time flies, right?
So many activities We do whatever we can to make our kids’ lives memorable, and the best they can be. If there is anything worth spending money on, it’s your kids. I need a nap!
Saturday, she had her normal dance class, followed by a world-class birthday party featuring roller skating, laser tag, cookie cake, ice cream and presents.
That was enough excitement for one day.
Sunday began with a charity dance performance (rehearsal at 9 a.m.), but it was well worth it.
We went for a nice lunch and then to the Lilac Festival in Rochester. Such a gorgeous weekend, hate to spend it inside. Bunch of rides, bounce houses and, of course, a snow cone.
We wrapped up the weekend with soccer practice Sunday night. I don’t know about Marissa, but I was exhausted when it was all over.
She had a great birthday. It was time and money well spent (as long as I don’t have to do it every weekend!).
