The Holidays wouldn’t be the Holidays without seeing a performance of “The Nutcracker”. Ever since I was a little girl, like so many others, seeing this heartwarming classical ballet was an annual tradition. It was like sitting down every year in front of the TV to watch The Wizard of Oz or Mary Martin in Peter Pan.

It’s nice to know that some traditions continue today. Moms still take their daughters to see The Nutcracker…and little ballerinas still dream of playing the lead role of Claire, the Sugar Plum Fairy or the Snow Queen. If you never had the chance play those roles growing up…it’s never too late to fulfill a dream. Last year I was invited to perform in the Greater Niagara Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker as a parent in the Party scene. It was so much fun…definitely a dream come true!

It’s a wonderful production and you can see it this weekend with performances Friday @ 7:30pm and two shows Saturday @ 2pm & 7:30pm at the Niagara Falls High School Performing Arts Center/4455 Porter Rd. Right now you can save on Tickets! Get 2-Tickets for the Price of 1 on the “Side Deals” at www.SeizeTheDeal.com. Hope to see you at the show! I’ll be at Claire’s Party again in the Kelly Green Gown!
