An English Professor at Niagara County Community College is facing charges after she left her two-year-old child alone in a car.

Dr. Nicole Bishop was arrested on Monday after a concerned bystander heard the child crying in the car and called police. The bystander told police that she saw Dr. Bishop get out of her car and walk into class, leaving the windows slightly cracked for the child.

It is believed that the two-year-old was in the vehicle for about forty minutes,

Dr. Bishop did cooperate with police, and has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She will appear in Cambria Town Court on June 2nd. Police also notified Child Protective Services.
