Andrew Cuomo has been re-elected as New York governor, and he is the first Democrat to win a second term since his father, Mario, did it decades ago. During his acceptance speech, Cuomo pointed out some of his accomplishments so far, including passing four on-time budgets in a row, bringing down state spending, and reducing taxes for the middle class.

Cuomo went on to say that during his second term he plans to take the state even higher by raising the minimum wage and passing the Women's Equality Act.

Let's just hope that the newly re-elected governor sticks to his word!
