Whether it’s over parties that are too loud, dogs that bark in the middle of the night or some crazy Christmas lights display, disputes between neighbors are just another part of living where you live. But leave it to a Tonawanda resident to take things to a whole new level with a very…er, “member”-able…lawn ornament.
If you’re a ’90s kid like myself, chances are, you spent your childhood getting your fill of so-called “boy bands.” They weren’t the first — oh, hey, NKOTB — or the last — apparently there’s something called a One Direction that’s all the rage right now? — but with groups like 98 Degrees, the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, O-Town and even the MTV-made, fake-but-not-really 2gether, the late ’90s were basically the heyday of boy bands.
Or were they? After all, has anyone actually determined what, exactly, constitutes a “boy band”?
You’ve been belted in and blasted off, and now you’re inching your way to the “best” part of one of Darien Lake‘s rides — the big drop, the giant loop, the moment in the ride where your stomach feels like it’s going to fall out. There’s nothing quite like that feeling you get when you realize you’re questionably fastened into something that’s designed to make you scream, cry, throw up or do all three.
