As we enter the fall season, the leaves begin to change and the weather starts to get cooler and crisp.

A loyal listener of Delilah wrote to her about her experiences and what she enjoys in the fall.

It's feeling like we've turned that corner and autumn is on the way! Oh, the days might still be warm, but the nights are becoming cooler now. It's almost time to reach for that evening sweater. There is a smell of sharpened pencils in some houses, a wisp of burning leaves, the promised harvest coming in, and the gathering of pumpkins. Gardens are tired; flowers are spent as they give their last fruits before sleep.

My granddaughter and I were sitting under the grape arbor admiring the arrival of the gold, red and purple leaves. I promised that soon she and her sisters would be giggling and shuffling through all the crispy leaves that fall like rain in our neighborhood. I told her this is God's fall palette on its way, and as always, it will be magnificent!

So don't grieve the end of summer, but welcome fall in all its wind-whispering, squash-colored, hot soup-slurping splendor. Every season God shows His majesty, but with fall you'll see some of His best artistry on display. Donna
