I've always understood a mentor to be someone who is usually older and has the experience to help guide someone's development in their career or life choices. This is something that's not done for personal gain, but I can say from this recent mentoring, it's a very satisfying experience.

My high school pal has a very special son who one day would like to work in radio so I invited them down to the MIX 96 studios for a behind the scenes look. Garrett asked lots of questions, took notes and then using Animoto, put together a video presentation with career information, pictures and background music.

After attending his presentation at Lancaster High School, I have to say, he's well on his way to working in a similar field as me...Mr. Richards....the older one.
