BFLO Harbor Kayak allows Kayakers the option of going out by themselves, rowing tandem, or taking a Kayak tour of the harbor. Tours are $25 for 90 mins and Kayaks are $20 per hour or $35 for the whole day rowers should call ahead or email for reservations.

So if you are looking for a way to spend a Thursday evening in the city and don’t feel like being pushed by the crush at Thursday in the Square and aren’t sure if your quite cultured enough to sit through Shakespeare in the Park then head over to the Twilight Series. Don’t worry the Twilight Series isn’t a gathering of angsty teen vampires it’s a bike race held every Thursday by the BBC or the Buffalo Bicycling Club at 6:30 and 7:30 around a ½ mile racing area around Perry and Chicago Street in Buffalo’s historic Cobblestone District.

Every Tuesday night a diverse crowd of Elmwood hipsters, local families, and suburban families looking to take in a tame taste of the city gather at Elmwood’s Bidwell Parkway to listen to Picnic in the Parkway Concert Series. The concerts are always free, and the area around Bidwell Parkway is beautiful and full of history, each Tuesday there is a different musical acts.

Shakespeare in the Park has been a Buffalo summer tradition for years and the troupe perform two of the Bard’s plays each summer. This summer The Merchant of Venice will be performed from July 16th through July 10th and As You Like It will be performed from July 21 through August 14. Admission is free and performances are Tuesday through Sunday and seating is festival style.

Becker Farms has been a functioning farm for over 100 years but it has just recently become a tourist destination for city dwellers and suburbanites alike who want to get out of the city and enjoy some time in the country.
