The F. Scott Fitzgerald classic The Great Gatsby is being made into a movie that will be out on May 10! Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan are starring in it, and it's directed by Baz Luhrmann, who did Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge.

From the trailers, it looks visually stunning and is definitely something I will have to see in the theater! One of the reasons I love Baz Luhrmann as a director is that he puts a modern spin on classics (see Romeo and Juliet from 1996 with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes).

I heard that Jay-Z is producing the soundtrack for the movie and that Beyonce will be doing a cover of Amy Winehouse's song "Back to Black." As Luhrmann's take on Gatsby will be a different take on the story, E! News is saying that Beyonce has teamed up with rapper Andre 3000 for "a very different take" on the hit Winehouse song.

Until May, enjoy the trailer for the movie!
