Having met Thurman Thomas a dozen times I can say I never suspected any brain damage from his NFL experience. Recently, Thurman himself said he may be suffering from the effects of the concussions he endured during his 13-year NFL career.

Thurman recently attended a concussion summit in Canada and revealed that he suffers from mood swings. Thurman worries that his condition has worsened, and so do his fans.

He told ESPN:

"I didn't know where I was, and I didn't know what I was doing," he said. "I had to make the most difficult call I've ever made. I had to pull over on the highway, call my wife and explain to her the events that just happened. She said, 'You need to come back home.' I knew that there was a problem."

Recently Buffalo Bills Superbowl alumni Jim Kelly revealed that he too suffered from concussions while playing.

It's safe to say the Thomas and Kelly fans hope our heroes continue to seek the help they need to deal with the effects of concussions. We wish you well.
