BREAKING — CJ Spiller Leaves Buffalo Bills Indefinitely

More trouble for an already-troubled beginning to the Bills season.

CJ Spiller has left Buffalo for Florida to attend to a rather serious family issue.

Reports are that his step-grandfather, Hubert Allen, Jr. allegedly shot and killed two men, shot at another two and then turned the gun on himself.

Coach Doug Marrone says, "I obviously excused him to be able to go back and handle obviously what is a personal situation. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims as well as C.J. and his family in this situation."

There's no time table as to when CJ will return.

Brian Russell just wrote yesterday about how difficult it can be to be a Bills fan. Today's news doesn't soften the blow.
