As news continues to break about the Germanwings plane that crashed in the French Alps earlier this week, it has been confirmed that one of the pilots was locked out of the cockpit before the jet went down.

During a press conference this morning, a French prosecutor revealed that the co-pilot had deliberately locked the pilot out and increased the rate at which the plane was descending.  He said the co-pilot could be heard breathing on the cockpit voice recorder, indicating he was not incapacitated and had taken the actions intentionally.  The crash on Tuesday claimed the lives of 150 people, including three Americans.
