The Buffalo Bills are heading into this off-season with lots of question marks surrounding some of their best players.

Players like Gabe Davis, Micah Hyde, and AJ Epenesa could end up signing with a new team. As a Bills Mafia member, it is always hard to see one of your favorite players in a different uniform.

Here are six Buffalo Bills greats who ended up playing for a different team. It was tough to see them in non-red, white, and blue uniforms.

FRED SMERLAS

Fred Smerlas was a 2nd round pick for the Buffalo Bills in the 1979 NFL draft. He would go on to play for the Bills from 1979 until 1989. He would play for the 49ers in 1990 and then Buffalo's rival New England Patriots in 1991 and 1992.

DARRYL TALLEY

Darryl Talley played for the Bills from 1983 until 1994. He was a 2nd round pick in the NFL draft by the Bills in 1983. After leaving the Bills, Talley played for the Atlanta Falcons in 1995 and the Minnesota Vikings in 1996.

FRED JACKSON

Fred Jackson was a small college star who joined the Bills in 2006 after going undrafted in 2003 and playing in NFL Europe in 2006. Jackson played for the Bills until 2014. He joined Seattle in 2015 and was the oldest active running back in the NFL that year.

THURMAN THOMAS

Thurman Thomas was another NFL Hall of Famer who left Buffalo and played for another team. This time it was a rival of the Bills, the Miami Dolphins. Thomas was the Bills' 2nd round pick in the 1988 draft and played with the Bills until 1999. He played in Miami in 2000.

LEE EVANS

Lee Evans was the Bills 1st round NFL draft pick in 2004 and would play for the Bills until 2010. He played for Baltimore in 2011 and then was part of the Jacksonville Jaguar practice squad in 2012.

Bruce Smith is an NFL Hall of Famer and was the 1st overall draft in the 1985 NFL draft by the Bills. He played for the Bills from 1985 until 1999. He played for Washington from 2000 until 2003.
