This weekend turned out to be a good weekend for Buffalo Bills fans.

Heading into Sunday, According to CBS Sports, the Buffalo Bills only had a 43.8% chance of making the playoffs this season. They were in the 7th and final seed for the AFC playoff race.

The Bills are 5-4 heading into tonight's Monday Night Football game, but their odds of making the playoffs changed after some key games on Sunday afternoon.

The Bengals, Charges, and Jets all lost on Sunday which helps the Buffalo Bills chances for making the playoffs.

Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Houston, and Las Vegas all won, which hurts the Bills' chances.

Here is how the playoff picture breaks down after Sunday's games. The Bills are currently on the outside looking in.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (7-2, AFC West)
  2. Baltimore Ravens (7-3, AFC North)
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3, AFC South)
  4. Miami Dolphins (6-3, AFC East)
  5. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3, Wildcard)
  6. Cleveland Browns (6-3, Wildcard)
  7. Houston Texans (5-4, Wildcard)

The Bills need to win over Denver tonight on Monday Night Football to move back into the 7th seed for the AFC playoff race. They are currently in 9th overall behind the Cincinnati Bengals and would miss the playoffs if they started today.

The Bengals beat Buffalo last week, so they hold the tie-breaker advantage.

The Bills have made the playoffs the last 4 years in a row and ended their playoff drought back in 2017.
