Buffalo Gun “Buyback” Set For Next Week

Mayor Brown has announced Buffalo's 5th Gun "Buyback" program for August 18th from 9am - 5pm at seven different location around Buffalo.

Prince of Peace Christian Church 190 Albany Street

Primera United Methodist Church 62 Virginia Street

St. Thomas Aquinas Church 450 Abbott Road

St. John Baptist Church 184 Goodell Street

Jordan River Missionary Baptist Church 440 Leroy Avenue

Assembly of Christian Churches 213 Ontario Street

A pre-paid credit card will be given for each gun turned in. The program will buy rifles and shot guns for $50, hand guns for $75 and assault weapons for $100.

The program is one of the strategies to cut down on violence in the city.
