The United States Postal Service announced that it plans to consolidate its mail processing operations all part of the Postal Service's plan to cut costs.

The consolidation will move services from Buffalo to Rocherster, affecting 700 people employed at the Buffalo Processing and Distribution Center on William Street in Buffalo.

The Post Office is considering changing to a two-day delivery time frame - allowing more time for Buffalo mail to be shipped back and forth from Rochester.
