Last night the Chicago Cubs FINALLY won the World Series.  The lovable losers broke a 108 year old curse and are now World Champs.  Can it be the Buffalo Bills turn now...please??

I am a Red Sox fan, and in 2004 when they broke an 86 year curse it was the most amazing feeling.  Beating the Yankees in the comeback ALCS, and then sweeping the Cardinals...it didn't get any better.  I mean I love my kids but this was EPIC.  I'm kidding, epic's not the right word let's go with AMAZING.

Since that time, many teams have gone on to win major championships in sports to break their own mini curses...except the Bills and Sabres.  The Buffalo Bills are currently known for losing 4 straight Superbowls and the Sabres have done their share of losing as well.  We have had our opportunities but always seem to fall short.

Now as great as an accomplishment as 4 straight Superbowls is, it's not like winning one.  The respect that comes with winning is what the city of Buffalo needs.  Kind of like the Patriots need to cheat, we need to win the whole thing just once (sorry - not sorry, had to take that shot while I could:)).

Will it ever happen??  The Cub fans waited 108 years to finally experience last night.  I don't think I, or most of us, will be around 100 years from now so hopefully that won't be the case.  Hell, at this point I just want to see a playoff game again!  I will also settle for a Tom Brady career ending injury.  At least have him stub his toe!!

It feels like a championship is so far away right now, but these things have a funny way of sneaking up on you.  Well, I know I am ready to be snuck up on so let's go.  I will totally act like I don't even see you and play along.  Come on, just one...please??!!
