'All that JAZZ' is not just a saying, it will become a musical reality as The Buffalo Jazztet, featuring Buffalo State Music Department faculty member Mark Filsinger, kicks off the college’s 2017-18 “Celebrate American Music” series October 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Louis P. Ciminelli Recital Hall Rockwell Hall.

The performance celebrates the birth and evolution of Bebop, Tad, Diz and Monk at 100 is a tribute honoring the 100th birthdays of major 'players' of the bebop era as in:James (Tad) Richards /John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie and Thelonious Sphere Monk 

Performing live will be:

Bobby Militello, alto

Mark Filsinger, trumpet

John Hasselback, trombone

George Caldwell, piano

Sabu Adeyola, bass
