Heads will be bowed and hands clasped as Western New York gathers for National Day of Prayer.

Around 200 to 300 people are expected to gather in Niagara Square at 12 noon today to pray for many different things, including government and law enforcement, military, Israel and other nations.

The theme for this year's National Day of Prayer of "Lord, hear our cry!"

Pastor Jo Ann Angelo will lead the prayer service, and invites everyone to take part, because "prayer is the foundation of this country."
