Cherry Coconut Bars

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
3 tbsp. confectioners sugar
1 cup sugar

Mix until smooth, and spread thin with fingers in ungreased 8x8x2 pan. Bake for 25 minutes.

1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup quartered maraschino cherrys
2 eggs

Mix together, then pour over baked pastry (no need to cool). Bake about 25 minutes. Cool, then cut into squares.
