Snow Day… What’s Your Story?

Here's the proof!  The picture is worth a thousand words...  Lancaster crews had to get out the big trucks for snow removal on my street today!  I woke up early to get out the door for work today...    Unfortunately, it really didn't matter.  Even before I pulled my SUV out of the garage, I had a feeling I wasn't going to get very far.  The snow in front of the garage was at least a foot high, and my husband Jerry had done the driveway about nine last night... the snow in the street looked at least twice as high!  I gave it a shot and made it to the end of the driveway and into the road.  That was it.  I was stuck, really stuck.  So at 4:50am, I pulled out my cell phone and called Jerry inside the house.  He answered it, and said he had a feeling this would happen.  A few minutes later, he appeared in the garage and made his way through the snow to me.  He pushed, we rocked it and then the shovel came out...  after about 15 minutes I was in the driveway.  I did the show from home... with Joe in studio.  I watched as neighbors snowblowed, only to realize they weren't going anywhere.  A plow came down the street about 8am.  It stopped though at the mouth of our cul-de-sac, and turned around.  Finally about 10am, the big trucks showed up and set us free!  It was in all, an exciting morning... My son was scheduled to be off from school today but my daughter got a snow day!  Everybody was all giggly that the entire family is home...  even though, I keep telling them... I have been working!  Now off to bake some Christmas cookies... I hope all of our Joyfm listeners have safe travels today.  -And, I'd love to hear your stories...
