This seems to be a growing trend in America as McDonald's and Starbucks have done similar things for their employees. Now Chrysler has just announced they they will be offering their workers free college tuition.

The Huffington Post reports:

Chrysler’s program is the result of a partnership with Strayer University, a private, for-profit college that offers online classes. The company said it hopes the free tuition will transform it into a more attractive place to work.

Many of their employees can take Strayer classes online and they can also attend lessons at the college's Virginia campus. All you have to be is an employee who has worked at a Chrysler dealership for 30 days.

The trend is growing as Volkswagen has just expanding their three-year vocational program. Their Chattanooga, Tennessee-based plant trains employees to work high-skilled jobs on the assembly line, at no college tuition cost.
