Despite eating well, working out, and trying to stay away from those who seem to be infected, I've succumbed to the dreaded "office cold".

I'm miserable. I'm tired, achy, cranky, and my asthmatic chest feels like there's an entire HERD of elephants sitting on it. And I want to eat anything I see. I'm a "feed a cold" kind of gal, regardless of the validity of the argument.

One thing that remains true though, no matter how sick I am, I just want to be LEFT ALONE.  I don't want to be cuddled, I don't want to be touched.

I don't want to talk, I don't want to listen.

I don't want anything but a comfy pillow, the couch, and the remote.  If DJ the Wonder Dog decides to snuggle up with me, that's fine.

Anything more than that, and you're risking getting your face ripped off.

Based on your calls and texts, it seems like when women are sick, men want to help by cuddling, coddling, and treating us like, well, babies.  But we don't WANT that.

MEN, on the other hand, seem to WANT to be cuddled, coddled, and treated like, well, babies.  But we don't want to DO that, because we treat people the way WE want to be treated.  Which, as we've discussed, is being left alone.

So, which do YOU prefer?  Do you want to be coddled, or left alone?

This commercial pretty much sums it up...and I LOVE it.
