Big congratulations are in order for Paul Wekarski, special education teacher at John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga!

Carolyn Czaplicki was asked by his BOCES students to submit on his behalf. They said:

Mr. W. as we refer to him as, is the most dedicated teacher any of us has ever had. He not only teaches us academics, but helps us learn different jobs in the community. We know that when he is tough on us,he does it because he cares and wants the best for us. We all have different problems, but Mr. W. always sees what we CAN do, not what we can't. Sometimes it looks like we do not care, but we are listening and we are learning and staying in school because of what he does for us. He tries to make things fun and interesting and teaches us a lot about the real world and life lessons. He tries to help us with our problems whether it is related to school or home. He goes over and beyond what a teacher should do and often on his own time. We just want him to know he is Important to us and would like this chance to show how much we do appreciate him.

For his dedicated work, and as a small token of our appreciation, Mr. W received a $50 SpOt Coffee gift card and a pretty sweet Brother MFC-J430w InkJet All-In-One Wireless Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax Machine, courtesy of Rapid Refill, for the classroom! His class was also treated to a pizza party, delivered by Southgate Pizza, for the nomination!

Thanks to all teachers who work so hard every day!
