According to an article from WGRZ, Scajaquada Creek in Lancaster started flowing red today. They received a video from a viewer showing the creek tinged a decidedly rust color.

According to the WGRZ story a Lancaster official says the "red water was caused by mulch dye that leaked into the stream from Superior Pallets on Walden Avenue."

It was reported that the dye is not harmful, and that booms are being used to stop the leak. WGRZ states "DEC officials, as well as Lancaster Emergency officials are on the scene."
