Dallas will remember its legendary character JR Ewing tonight.

This is the second season of the second run of Dallas.  Larry Hagman returned as the villain he always was, JR Ewing.

Hangman passed away on November 23, 2012, which left writers in a bind. The show was already in production, and Hagman had filmed a few episodes. Everyone was wondering how the writers would tie it all together.

They went back to a Dallas standard: Who shot JR? The original “Who Shot JR?” aired on March 21, 1980.  Tonight’s episode (March 11) will reveal who shot him this time and will also include a proper send off for the character.
