Dan Finds Ancient Dust In Studio [VIDEO]

On January 15, 2016 Dan Rinelli called in archeologists to Carbon-date dust on an old piece of equipment left over in the studio.  Scientists say it's too old to identify but speculate it may be a form of recording equipment used in a communications field of radio.  Can you help identify this machine?
