Losing a very important person in your life is one of the most difficult events in life to deal with.

For recording artist Danny Gokey, losing his wife has made one of the biggest impacts on his life, including in his music.

Danny Gokey is a recording artist with a huge heart. He uses his lyrics to lift and inspire people and he uses his public figure status as a platform to help people. His amazing voice and heartfelt story of losing his first wife during a routine heart surgery just weeks before his American Idol Season 8 audition resonated with the audience on the show.

Danny has since launched Sophia's Heart, an organization founded to carry on the legacy of giving started by his late wife. The organization provides a place to live for homeless families in Nashville and expands its care for a growing number of families each year.

Then there is Danny's new album, Hope In Front Of Me. It is every bit as wonderful as the man who made it. And no wonder it rose to #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Christian Albums Chart. When you hear the title track, I think you'll be made a Danny Gokey fan immediately, if you aren't one already. Here is how he describes his work:

"I wanted to mix hope and entertainment but not in a way that would be cliché or sappy," Gokey relates. "I want to deliver a message that feeds the soul, but makes you want to move and groove to the music.  That's always the goal when I write. I'm a person of faith, so I always want my songs to have a strong message of hope. I want to write them in a way that is fresh. 'Hope In Front of Me' has got a great message, but it's also got a great groove to the song so you are moving and your soul is getting fed while you are singing and jamming to the music."

Get the album, Hope In Front Of Me , and let it feed your soul in a world where hope is as necessary as the air we breathe. You can find it at Amazon.com or download it on iTunes. You're gonna love it...
