One year ago today, Delilah lost her son, Sammy. Delilah found Sammy in a Ghana orphanage. Sammy, who was 15 years old at the time of his passing, suffered from sickle-cell anemia. Delilah is marking today's somber anniversary by remembering her son with a special song.

Sammy was one of seven children that the evening radio hostess has adopted. Of course, after joining Delilah's family the once-homeless teenager blossomed.

Late last night, Delilah celebrated her son's life on her Facebook page.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of my son Sammy's passing. Since God called him home, two different people have written songs in his honor, and I wanted to share this one with you today, and if you have lost a loved one, I pray that it speaks to your heart as it did to mine...

After Sammy's passing, Jesse Funk wrote the song 'You Lived' as a tribute to the young man:

All proceeds raised from the song benefit Delilah's Point Hope Foundation. The Point Hope Foundation's mission is provide a voice to forgotten children across Africa.
