The Olmsted Center for Sight in Buffalo will host the fourth annual Dining in the Dark event at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.
Aaron and Stacey Siegel will be the chair couple for the Center’s event, which will be be held on Thursday, Sept. 24.

Guests of the Center's yearly gala experience the tastes, smells and textures of a fine dining experience but not the sights.
Attendees are blindfolded and guided through their meal by the Olmsted Center’s vision rehabilitation therapists, briefly experiencing the blindness that more than 20,000 people face daily in Western New York.
“Dining in the Dark” is held to raise both awareness and funds for the Olmsted Center.

The event also features Silent and Basket auctions as well as the “Art in the Dark” live auction, which gives guest the chance to meet with and bid on the works of jewelry makers, potters and sculptors, who have donated their art. Each piece will be fully draped and concealed, so while works can be touched and discussed with the artist, bids will be cast sight unseen.

The Olmsted Center serves thousands of individuals who reside across the eight counties of Western New York. Money raised at “Dining in the Dark” will help Olmsted Center "strengthen and expand existing services, as well as develop new and innovative programs to meet the changing needs of its clients".
