The No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 continues to remain illusive to DrakeBillboard reports that the Toronto rapper's hit single "One Dance" is now No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart. The enduring power of Desiigner's "Panda" managed to hold Drake off and maintain its top spot on the chart.

"One Dance" is Drake's third single to reach the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The OVO Sound boss previously attained this honor in 2009 with "Best I Ever Had" and last year with "Hotline Bling.".

Drake's new single has been a strong performer worldwide too. "One Dance" recently helped Drake break Adele's UK record for most streams in a single week. Adele's "Hello" previously held the distinction with 7.32 million streams. Drake's "One Dance" topped that with 7.8 million streams.

As for the album "One Dance" appears on, Views has been an equally dominant performer. According to Buzz Angle Music, Drake's long awaited album sold more than 740,000 units in the U.S. over a two day period. Over that same time period, the LP moved more than 80,000 in Canada.

Views has not even been out a week, but Drake already has plans for new music. The rapper/singer told an audience at a surprise concert in Toronto that more music was on the way.

"And I’ma tell you like this," Drake said. "Just because Views came out, it doesn’t mean there’s not new music on the way. So I’ll see you soon. You know what it is."

No further details were given. While fans might know his exact plans, it clear that Drake intends to have everyone's attention throughout the summer.
