Ever gone to Sunday Brunch and wanted a Mimosa or maybe a Bloody Mary but then realize its not noon yet? That depression could soon end!!

Governor Cuomo has plans to modernize New York's 80-year-old Alcoholic Beverage Law. He announced new legislation yesterday. The current law does not allow restaurants and bars to serve alcohol before noon on Sunday's.

Cuomo wants to change that time from noon to 8 a.m. Brunch is a growing trend in the country as well as locally and the hope is more businesses will offer brunch if this law is changed.

The legislation will also look at restriction on bars and restaurants near churches and schools.
