Eddie Ray Routh Found Guilty in “American Sniper” Murder

The Texas man accused of killing the "American Sniper" is going to prison for the rest of his life.

A jury in Erath County found Eddie Ray Routh guilty of capital murder for the shooting deaths of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield in 2013.

Defense attorneys were unable to argue that Routh was insane and having a psychotic episode at the time of the killings, while prosecutors argued that the ex-Marine knew exactly what he was doing because he stole Chris Kyle's truck and pistol after the killings.
