The times, they are a changing.

I remember when all I wanted when I was 8 was the Barbie Dream House with the working elevator, and the GI Joe with the Frogman suit.

Today, kids want their own YouTube channel.

There is an 8 year old named Evan who has "earned" -- from YouTube revenue, merchandising, and deals with advertisers -- $1.3 MILLION a year off his YouTube channel.  It goes into investment accounts for Evan and his little sister...which is good.  But I'm terrified of the idea of a kid having his or  her own YouTube channel.  There's just too much potential for terrible things to go wrong.

Sure, when you're 8, your parents are helping  you with it and making you  famous.  But what about when you turn 11 or 12, and aren't supervised as much, and your tiny brain can't wrap around the idea of RAMIFICATIONS for behavior?  Just too risky, if ya ask me.

What say you?
