Of course you know that this Tuesday is Election Day. So who are you voting for and why? Are you voting?

I don't want to know your decision for any of the races, but I do hope you vote. I also hope folks know the candidates and the issues. For as long as I can remember, I have utilized the information provided by the League of Women Voters. They are a nonpartisan, political membership organization that encourages informed, active participation of citizens in government. Click here to access the League of Women Voters of New York State website. You'll be able to download a voter guide that will help answer questions about the candidates that you may have.

Each Election Day, I recall some things one of my grammar school teachers told us and also echoed by my parents...that our great country was founded by men and women who gave their lives and continue to do so for our freedoms and liberties. One of those is our right to vote. To neglect this freedom we have is a slap in the face to each and every American soldier who has worn the uniform. Think about the folks around the globe who have no say. We have a say and it's time every single citizen gets involved.

I love this land, what we stand for, who we are...I am PROUD to be an American. See you at the polls.
