Eminem's iconic album The Marshall Mathers LP is getting re-released on cassette. Just as the Detroit rapper did earlier this year with his Slim Shady LP, Eminem will re-release his third studio album in cassette form with some added gifts.

Fans can sign up for early access to The Marshall Mathers LP cassette by entering the email into this form on the Shady Records website. The re-release will come with some sort of collectables although they have not been identified. The Slim Shady LP reissue came with an exclusive t-shirt.

The Marshall Mathers LP was originally released on Sept. 11, 2000 and solidified Eminem as one of music's biggest stars. The album was led by the widely successful single "The Real Slim Shady," which became his biggest hit up to that point in his career. The Marshall Mathers LP sold an astounding 1.76 million copies in its first week, making it the fastest selling hip-hop album ever. It also was the fast-selling solo album and held onto that honor until last year when Adele surpassed Eminem with 25.

The Marshall Mathers LP is one of the best selling hip-hop albums in history with over 10 million copies sold. The album was also controversial as Eminem was accused of misogyny and homophobia due to some of the content. In an effort to dispel claims that he was homophobic, Eminem made a memorable appearance at the 2001 Grammy Awards where he performed the album's third single "Stan" with Elton John.

Eminem's third solo effort was a critical success with most contemporary reviews praising the album. Retrospective analysis has also been positive as the LP is considered to be one of the best hip-hop albums of all-time.
