Winter-weary area golfers looking for signs of spring will be encouraged as season passes for Erie County golf courses will be available for sale or renewal beginning Monday, April 13.
Golf permit applications for 2015 are available online and offer regular passes as well as senior (62 or over) and youth (16 or younger) passes.
The Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry will have personnel at Grover Cleveland golf course beginning Monday at 7:00 AM to take applications in person and to answer phone calls at (716) 836-7398.

“As the last of the snow melts away, many residents are anxious to work off winter rust and get back in the swing at both of Erie County’s wonderful golf courses,” said Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz.
New this year at Erie County golf courses are “Thank A Vet” rates available to area veterans, who can now enjoy a round of golf at either course on weekdays (excluding holidays) for $15. Veterans must present their “Than A Vet” card, available from the Erie County Clerk’s Office, to receive the discounted rate. Also this year, a new 9-hole greens fee of $14 is in place at Elma Meadows golf course for golfers looking for a quicker round; the 9-hole rate is available weekdays (excluding holidays).

Golfers who did not have a pass last year must apply in person at Grover Cleveland in order to have their picture taken for the pass. Golf passes are non-refundable. Lost passes can be replaced (with a new pass number) for a $10 fee. Passes are good for the entire season.
