Ok Bills season is over and not sure that would be my list anyways! Cleary the Sabres if you have the cash is great. You are in a revitalized downtown, can skate at Canalside before the game, grab dinner at 716....and the crowd is much more 'subdued' than a Bills game of course. Also the hockey at Harbor Center? Fantastic! Canisius college, junior tournaments - it's great for kids if they are hockey fans!

I would also suggest lots of basketball.....have you ever been to a UB game? The arena in Amherst is amazing. Parking is easy, cheap tickets, great food stands, great hoops team that made the NCAA's last year! You up north? Niagara University games are lots of fun too! Team is a bit down this year but the 'smaller' atmosphere is great, perfect gym for the kids to 'run around in' where you can still see them!

Bandits games - they are tons of fun! Maybe not the most popular sport but loud and fun! What about HIGH SCHOOL games? Take your kids to watch the boys or girls varsity hoops team at any local HS gym is a great time, only need to give your kids a few bucks to get pizza slices or candy or drinks - support the school in the area you live in! My son Derek LOVES going with his friends to run around the Williamsville North games all the time near our house!

So next time you are thinking - 'I think I'll just stay home tonight' think about some of the things I suggested above. Your kids will love it!
