My hometown is putting a LOT of effort behind its new National Museum of Comedy – this may be one of the coolest reasons to visit! Jamestown is going to welcome GEORGE CARLIN.

Carlin is GREAT, but he passed away in 2008.

With the help of some pretty amazing (and let's face it, kind of futuristic) technology, you'll be able to see one of the legends of comedy in hologram form.

They are planning lots of other stars in hologram form too. Check them out here.

The museum just acquired Carlin's archives, lending even more street cred to the little WNY city that boasts Lucille Ball's birthplace. They're hoping this enormous comedy campus will do for Jamestown what the Baseball Hall of Fame did for Cooperstown.

It just may.

And for the sake of my friends and family that still live there and are tired of the bad press the city has gotten in the past few years, I certainly hope it does.
