It maybe St. Patrick's Day, but it is also Fish Fryday which means we got to taste another great Western New York Fish Fry!  Look, somebody needs to do this and it just happens to be us.  You're welcome!

Today's fish fry comes to us from the new Colden Market & Cafe, and we were joined in studio by the owners Julie and Joe.  They were nice enough to talk with us and supply not only a delicious fish fry, but some fried shrimp, a chicken pot pie, and an apple fritter for dessert! I will not be eating for 3 days now!

Colden Market & Cafe, like many others, offers fish fry's all the time but since this is the season you need to take advantage of it.  Here's what is included with fish fry:

  • Icelandic Haddock
  • Coleslaw
  • The best French Fries I have had with a fish fry
  • Baked Potato Salad (which is a huge upgrade over regular PS.  Bacon makes everything better!
  • A piece of Marble Rye bread
  • Tarter Sauce

Now if you can get through all of that (and it is a lot, trust me), they have some other great additions you can make like the fried shrimp, and of course dessert.  I HIGHLY recommend the apple fritter.

The Colden Market & Cafe makes a great fish fry, but is also most notably known for their Pot Pies.  We got to try the chicken pot pie and it was amazing, but word on the street is that they have a Steak & Guinness pot pie that is the cat's meow.  I'm looking forward to trying that in very near future!

A BIG Thank You to Julie and Joe for stopping in and feeding us on this Fish Fryday. For more on the Colden Market & Cafe check out their Facebook Page HERE.
