According to the National Weather Service, there has been a flood watch issued for Erie & Wyoming counties (including the cities of Buffalo, Warsaw, Orchard Park, and Springville) through Friday evening.

They are calling for over an inch of rain in some areas, and with all of the snow melting (because we are in Buffalo Summer right now) we will see significant runoff.  This can cause the area creeks and streams to rise and potentially flood.

If you live somewhere that usually floods, make sure you are taking precautions and playing it safe.  Nobody needs to be a hero during a flood, do the smart thing and be prepared.  Avoid driving in flooded areas because if you get stuck, it can be disastrous.

Stay dry everyone and enjoy Western New York in January!
