Defenseman Jordan Leopold was traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Minnesota Wild Monday. A letter written by the hockey player's 11-year-old daughter to the Wild’s coaches asking the team to acquire her father surfaced on the web shortly after the announcement.

Leopold, who is a former Buffalo Sabres player, played at the University of Minnesota and his family still lives there.
