If you haven't microchipped your pet, you can do it for free tomorrow (Tuesday, July 22)!

The free clinic will take place at the Town of Cheektowaga Maintenance Garage (located behind the Cheektowaga Senior Center) at 3349 Broadway from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

According to WIVB:

The supply of microchips is limited. Chips will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. All pets must be up to date on vaccinations and must be restrained using a non-retractable leash, or a carrier.

The microchips were purchased with funding from the Department of Homeland Security. In major disasters, local government officials have the responsibility to manage animals that are lost, abandoned, injured or sick.
