Police officer Gary D. Sengbusch  was nearly killed last February when his vehicle was hit in an alleged DWI crash. Gary was off duty when it happened and was on his way to meet his girlfriend after working a security job to earn extra money for an engagement ring. Gary suffered at torn aorta, removal of his spleen, a shattered left hip, and a stroke.

Remarkably Gary is on his way back. His recovery has surprised everybody, and one day he hopes to return to work in Buffalo’s Ferry-Fillmore district. But the recovery is long and expensive.

Gary will need more financial assistance for the months of rehabilitation still facing him.  That’s why this Thursday night a fund raiser is planned at coca-cola field from 5-7pm before the Bisons game. For more information on the event and for tickets go to teamgary.org.
